ISOG I AM SECURE 2019
October 8 to November 8, 2019
Committed to protect the Philippine financial industry by strengthening cyber security, the Information Security Officers Group (ISOG) launched its month-long campaign last Oct 8, 2019 at Makati Shangri-la Hotel. The organization, gathered local and international delegates, high-calibre professionals: CISO’s, CEO’s, CIO’s, CTO’s, VP’s, and the like. With the group’s dedication to counter cybercrime, they continue their commitment to promote a culture of Information Security to the entire Philippine landscape they secure this annual summit.
The National Cybersecurity Month’s Awareness campaign built around the theme of I Am Secure 2019: Industry 4.0, with a notable tagline of “Information Security Professionals in the Midst of the Digital Tsunami.” Our country being on the brink of a global phenomena, facing grand-scale changes that influence our everyday lives, communication, and consumption of goods—technology-wise. ISOG believes that updating their fellow security officers, about innovative models, frameworks, and alternative sources in response to the 4th industrial revolution is a pressing concern. The conference presents a collaboration of great minds and ideas to prepare the Philippines in being adaptable to the changing times, not disregarding dealing with cybercrimes.
In the era of Digital Tsunami, systems all over the world connect and collide: Automation, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, big data, and system integration are all becoming a norm. As organizations navigate through these technological complexities, it is crucial to be secured. ISOG engages associate security officers to strengthen cybersecurity across banking and related industries; establishes standardization of measures in coordination with financial regulators, policy creators, and colleagues; equips the industry with novel methodologies and skill sets significant to information security’s purposes; and seeks to empower Filipinos, by creating education awareness campaigns concerning online and digital transactions.
ISOG prepared and presented several culminating activities on top of their online and session campaigns. After the opening ceremonies last October 8, 2019 they conducted Defend the Flag “DTF 2.0” Hackathon last October 10-11 at P.J. Lhuillier Convention Center, Antipolo; they held the National Conference on October 16-17 at Makati Shangrila Hotel; the first ISOG Government Forum on Nov 5 at The Manila-Peninsula Hotel; ISOGoke on October 24 at Romulo Cafe, Makati; and the closing ceremonies on November 8 at CCP complex.
